Importing NEMSIS/XML Data
NEMSIS (National EMS Information System) is an organization that developed the standard for reporting of EMS information. This standard has been implemented in most states and is being implemented in the remaining states. The benefit of this standardization is that almost all ePCR systems have the ability to export their data in what is referred to as a XML file that Harrison Software is able to read in.
By reading these files we can create patient records and ambulance run records with a majority of the information all ready included. This means that the biller simply needs to enter the information that is not available and send out the claims to the appropriate person or insurance company. The loading of data can save valuable time and decrease the problems associated with manual paper flow, bad handwriting and other issues.
While Harrison Software does not partner directly with any ePCR vendor, many of our customers import data on a daily basis from systems such as EMSCharts, ESO Systems, Firehouse, ImageTrend, MedMedia, and others.
For more complete information or a demonstration of the software, fill out and submit the Request Info form.
